Eating Organic Food For Weight Loss

Eating fresh, whole foods is considered to be very beneficial for weight loss. While there really isn’t a direct link with organic food for weight loss, there are a number of nutritional and health benefits associated with specific consuming organic foods. An organic banana has the same caloric content as any other banana.

However, when following a diet consistent with the traditional philosophy of organic eating, one does eat more fresh foods than when following a typical western diet. People who embrace the organic eating lifestyle emphasize a diet that is rich in fresh fruits and vegetables, along with organic meats and dairy products.

People who are committed to an organic diet don’t eat the heavily processed foods that are so prevalent in the modern western diet. It is many of the processed food products that are full of chemical additives and starchy fillers that introduce empty calories into our diets and contribute to weight gain.
